Yesterday Chad was on the phone with a guy who is going to mud and tape our basement for us. We don't really know this guy, a friend of Chad's set him up with us. He had done his friends basement on the side. Now the guy is doing this full time, anyways, they were trying to work out the details of how/when, etc.. Chad was asking when he was going to come and how long he would work each day so he could try and have someone be at the house. Chad was telling him that he couldn't have anyone at the house today and the guy told Chad that normally people just leave him a key to get into their house. Chad then asked "Do we have to worry about anything coming up missing?" I was sitting next to Chad on the couch and just started laughing. It was so funny. I mean, really what is this guy going to say? "Uh, yeah, you might want to hide your expensive things because they might not be there when you get back home. We have a tendency to steal." I asked Chad if he thought the guy would really say that. Maybe he does steal, but I guarantee he doesn't admit it. I thought it was hilarious. It made me smile the rest of the night whenever I re-played that phone conversation in my head.
The guy started our basement this morning and said he would be there most of the day. I'll let you all know if we have anything left in our house when I get home after work. ;)
