park visitors

Today my kindergarten kids had their end of the year picnic at the park. It worked out great that A.Cindy could drop Presley and Addison off at the park to spend the afternoon with me after they ate lunch with Gabi at her school. Lots of swinging, playing in the dirt, chasing bubbles, eating snacks, making new friends, and running around left for 2 very tired little girls. Addy couldn't make the walk back to school so I had to carry her. Presley was a trouper and walked the several blocks back. Thanks again Cindy for dropping them off. They had fun, and so did I. :)

holiday weekend

Presley's birthday party Saturday. Pizza with family after the party. One movie night with Chad and A. Hildy. Last minute cook-out with friends Sunday night. Movie night with Chad. Parade Monday morning.I think Reese was "cheering" for the band here.

If you look real close, you'll see some blue lips. It was a tad bit chilly today for swimming, but you can imagine the girls weren't going to pass up a chance to swim. Dollar Tree after swimming to buy items for end-of-the-year auction at school. Ending the weekend with another movie night with Chad.

Great weekend and now looking forward to a 4 day work week and then a nice long summer break with lots of camping trips planned and also DISNEY! 4 more work days only 3 of which the kids will be there! I can handle that. Especially when you throw in a picnic and field day for 2 of the days. Nice.

What a great day! Today we celebrated Presley's 4th b-day with family. The weather cooperated and we had a lovely (warm) day. Presley picked a Minnie Mouse theme this year. Think it has anything to do with our upcoming trip to Disney this summer? Lots of jumping in the bounce house (a gift for all 3 girls this year), playing on the playplace, in the sandbox, and at the water table. Couldn't ask for a better day. She got lots of adorable clothes, some spending money and some great toys too.

Thanks everyone who came to help her celebrate. I think we can call it a success.

pre-school program

Thursday night (Presley's birthday) was her pre-school program. She thought the whole thing was for her. ;) She did such a great job.

Sang along with each of the songs and did all the motions.

I teared up to her version of "The Little Bumblebee". Not sure why, except that I was just so proud of her. I'll have to try and get a clip of her singing on here.My girl is growing up. She has learned so much this year in pre-school. We are very thankful for Miss Judy. What a great teacher for Presley's 1st year.

4 short years

Hard to believe my girl is 4 years old today. Presley is such a good little girl. I am a lucky to be her momma. So sweet to her sisters, a big help, and an all around sweetheart. Happy Birthday, big girl. We love you lots.

ready, set

WALK!

She's off. Reese has been taking a step or two for a couple of weeks, but just this past week she has now started walking almost across the room. That is when she doesn't get too excited and start wobbling back and forth. She will sometimes just stand there for what seems like minutes making sure she is steady before taking another step.

I'm still trying to get a picture of her walking. I'm usually on the end of the room, clapping and acting silly trying to coax her to walk to me. ;) ha.

I took her for her year well-baby check-up last week. She is my little peanut, that's for sure. She only weighs 18 pounds, in the 25%. She's not big enough to turn forward facing in her seat yet. :( Hopefully at her 15 month check-up. She is 29 inches tall. She had to get 3 shots (supposed to be 4, but they ran out of one) AND get blood drawn. Not fun. But thankfully she is still a happy, healthy little girl. :)

She has 3 teeth and is working on a few more that are just about to pop through. She loves her sisters and dog, Queenie. Squeals whenever she sees them. Still a really great sleeper and a happy babe. She's starting to get quite the little attitude. She doesn't like one bit when we stop her from going up the stairs or take small toys away from her and she's sure to let us know about it. She's quick too. She starts off pretty slow, but as soon as she thinks she sees you not paying attention, it's like she sprint crawls to get to where she's not supposed to be. :) She's also got the best laugh, and when she gets laughing really hard, she just starts screaming. Makes Chad and I laugh, too.

b-day party

Presley was invited by one of her pre-school friends to come to her birthday party this past weekend. I went to college with this little girlies mommy, so it was a chance for us to catch up too. I took her Saturday afternoon. What a fun day! I think there were 11 little girls there, at least. The birthday girl is in the top left. :) She wasn't exactly thrilled to have to share her toys with ALL THESE KIDS! ;) They had fun playing in the playroom, having cake and ice cream, bouncing in the bounce house, Don't you just love Maddie's hair? So funny. Playing on the swing set.Grace is quite the little swinger. Pumping her legs all on her own.

picnic field trip

Today was Presley's pre-school class picnic. It was her last field trip for the year.

The hit was this "roller" slide.
