The guy who we hired to mud, tape and sand our drywall has finished! Yeah. We can check that off our list. He did a pretty good job from what we can see. He left a big mess for us to clean up though. There is dust EVERYWHERE! He finished up on Monday and is going to come back over on Thursday to go over it with us to make sure we are happy. Chad has already got the ceiling primed and is working on wiping the walls down so he can start priming and then painting those on Thursday. Thursday night we have a guy coming over to measure the basement and stairs for carpet. Before carpet is laid down we need to have the basement painted (so that means we need to decide on what color we want), the trim painted and up, and hopefully the doors up and the drop ceiling in. I'm not sure the doors will be done or the ceiling up, but it would be nice if we could finish those things before the carpet comes so we don't have to be so careful. We will have at least a couple of weeks before carpet is in because we haven't picked it out yet or obviously ordered it. He is just coming to give us an estimate on labor costs. We wanted to find that out before we picked out the carpet so we had an idea how much we were spending.
So, the ball is definitely rolling. Now we seem to be on fast-forward trying to finish it. The problem is, Chad is still coaching. Plus he is working at Driver's Ed some and I am hosting my monthly euchre group at our house tomorrow, so we are busy. Chad only has about 3 weeks left of coaching until next year, so he will have more time then. I know he is getting anxious to get his new TV for the basement. He thinks he will be better at his game if he has a bigger TV. I'm not convinced. As I was telling my sister-in-law the other day because our basement is packed away, that means he has his game packed away too. It's been nice not having him playing all the time, but at the same time, when he played is usually when I was on the computer or catching up on my shows. Now that he isn't playing, that means I am not on the computer much and am falling behind on my shows. Thank goodness for TiVo. :)
I'll try and post pictures of our basement after it is painted, hopefully this weekend.

Boy, you guys are in high gear now! I told Chad he'd have to wipe down the walls and he didn't believe me. That was my job during the day and then Ben came home to paint. I'm sure you will do a great job picking out colors, etc. It is evident in the rest of your house that you have good taste in that area : )
Sorry we aren't available this weekend to help out-tournaments all weekend (Sat and Sun) although Ben is usually always available for phone consultation ; )
