f-n-f = Friday Night Football! We headed out to the high school football game to watch cousin Tyler.

The girls love going to cheer for Tyler...almost as much as they love the concession stand. ;)

school girl

I have another school girl on my hands. Addison's first day of pre-school was today. She was so excited! Daddy picked her up and took her on his lunch hour (she goes in Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons) and Pawpaw picked her up.

Although she loved school today and I heard all about her day (including who got in time-out) I think her most favorite thing was riding in Pawpaw's truck. She gets to ride "up-front". Plus when he picked her up he brought her "pas-squittles" (skittles) and a water.

If you look closely at her cheek in this next picture you'll see Miss Judy's greeting... ;)

She is super excited to go back tomorrow again...especially because she gets to be the helper and take the snack!

Go Blue!

So I don't really ever cheer for the blue team, but while watching the game today with Chad, I heard him cheering for them and it got me thinking about these pictures we took when Presley was just a few months old. I had to do some digging around, but finally found them tonight.

We used my make-up to give her facial hair like her daddy.

And then we spiked her hair up and she was good to go.

Daddy and her cheered on the blue team almost 5 years ago...and when Presley asked which team we wanted to win today Daddy told her we liked the team wearing the white shirts and yellow pants. So today she yelled, "Go White!" :)

grandparent's day

Friday at school was Grandparent's Day. Presley was lucky to have 4 of her grandparents come as well as one Great Grandma. She may have won the award for having the most grandparents there. Thanks Pawpaw for taking the day off work to come and thanks A.Cindy for watching the daycare kids so Mawmaw could come too.

Chad even had his grandma there.

I think Nana and Papa won the award for traveling the furthest for Grandparents Day.

Thanks so much to everyone for coming with Presley. She sure appreciated it and so do we. Presley is lucky to have all of you in her life. Love you all!

student star

Look who was the student star today! Presley got to tell all her new kindergarten friends all about herself - her family, pets, likes, dislikes, etc... After her sharing time, her friends were able to ask her questions to find out more about her. And after that they each attempted to write her name and draw a picture of her that I put together in a book for her to keep.

open house

This morning was Addison's Open House at her pre-school. Thankfully A. Cindy was able to take her and also to snap a few pictures for me. From the stories I've heard sounds like a good time was had...and she even met a little "buddy".

And now she's even more ready to start next week!

another big step

We had some big stuff happen during our camping weekend. Daddy talked Presley into taking her training wheels off to see how she'd do riding without them.

She was a bit wobbly at first.

But soon took off, leaving Daddy to chase after her.

She surprised us both at how easy it was for her.

Day 2 still going stronger, getting better and better. She conquered the bike riding part in day 1, but today we worked on the starting and stopping.

She still has a bit of work to do on those 2 things (starting and stopping on her own) but I think we can officially say we have a 2-wheel bike rider on our hands! Way to go Pres!

First jumping off the diving board and swimming in the deep all by herself, then kindergarten and now bike riding...I'm ready for a break in these big girl steps she's taking. :)
