giddy-up

The girls were able to help their friend, Sara celebrate her birthday at the horse farm again this year. Last year Reese missed it, but she joined them this year. First up was learning about how to take care of horses and how to saddle them up. The girls got to help with all of that.
Next it was Addison's turn on JuneBug.
As you might imagine, Addy was thrilled the entire time. Addison LOVES all horses.
Presley rode Angel, the horse she helped groom.Presley loved the games they played (red light, green light, yellow light, and even purple light).
Reese thought she was a big girl on her horse, Mocha.
She had that little silly grin on her face the entire time.
Daddy walked right next to Reese to make sure she stayed on the saddle.
Shea and Presley on their horse, Angel.
Daddy and Reese with Mocha. (Addy was upset the horse-riding was over.)
We finished off our afternoon with cake, juice and presents. Thanks again, Sara! And Happy Birthday to you!!

school girl

Can't believe it's time for Presley to be in school. Kindergarten, here she comes!
Presley was so excited about starting school. She had a hard time going to sleep the night before.
School went great for her. She wasn't nervous at all, and had lots of fun.
I was so busy getting the room finished up, that I didn't have time to be too nervous or sad. I was telling Chad that I was ok, because I knew where she was going and knew I was going to be with her. If I had to put her on a bus or send her off to another class, that would be a different story. I am very thankful that my principal allowed her to be in my class. It's nice being able to do for her what I do for every other kindergarten student.
I know it's going to be a great year! She has already made some new friends and is learning so much. She loves to come home and tell Daddy all about her day. He asked her what her favorite thing was about her first day and her answer was of course, "recess!" I must be a great teacher. ;) Even my own daughter picks recess over learning. I'm so looking forward to the rest of this school year.

the big 4

My Addy-Paddy went ahead and turned 4 on me. We celebrated her with a swimming party at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's.
And I'm a bit upset that my camera settings were off all day and I never bothered to check the pictures out. :(
We were a bit worried that the weather wouldn't cooperate with our plans for a swimming party...but thankfully it was hot and the sun even popped out. We had a Heath Blizzard cake decorated with purple for a fantastic "Purplicious" party.
Daddy got her flowers. And the kids had lots of fun in the pool.
Reese loved jumping in to Gabi.
Uncle Kenny practiced his dives.Uncle Rusty entertained us on the slide.
And the birthday girl was swimming away.
Presley jumped off the diving board.
Uncle Kenny practiced his flips.
Reilly practiced her dives also.
Reagan showed her diving board tricks.
Addy was a lucky girl when it came time for presents.
She got games.
And more games.
And horses. (Her favorite animal!)
Dolls - This is Libby.
She also got lots of pajamas's, a purse, money, books, stuffed animals, Barbie and Barbie's horse, and Littlest Pet Shop toys.
After presents, ice cream cake and cupcakes the kids headed back into the pool.
Gabi was working with Addison trying to get her to jump in without having someone catch her.Reilly was sailing.
And Addison was finally brave enough to jump in by herself and Gabi was so proud.
Reese was showing off her muscles by doing chin-ups for Trenton.
Reagan caught some air off the slide.
Trenton and Reese played.
And a great time was had by the birthday girl and (hopefully) all!
The End.
