pizza & bowling
Friday night we met some of our friends the bowling alley.
We ate pizza and let the kids go bowling. I think there were 11 kiddos there.

t-ball
We signed Presley up for t-ball this year. We have gotten most of her equipment and have started practicing a bit in the back yard.
We have a LOT of practicing to do. ;)
Right now I think she is a bit more concerned about the color of her bat and glove that actually playing.
But we are working on it and having fun. We should find out her team this weekend. She has a couple of pre-school friends that also signed up. We're hoping to be on the same team as at least 1 other friend.
Addy helped keep Reese entertained today so Daddy could practice with Pres while I snapped pictures. Addy is pretty bummed she wasn't quite old enough to sign up this year. But we got her a glove so she could start practicing for next year. So far that seems to be good enough for her. Not sure how she will do when the actual practices and games come.

Happy St. Addy-Paddy Day!
Hello there! Are you loving this weather like we are?
We have been trying to get out as much as we can and enjoy this wonderful weather.
Last night I was stuck in class until almost 7, so Chad and the girls went outside and I only got pictures sent to my phone of all the fun they were having. I am taking a 2 credit course that meets every Tuesday until almost the end of May. :( It should be a good class and my corporation is paying for my college credit, but who wants to take a class when the weather is starting to get nice? I think they should have offered it in either the fall or winter. Just my 2 cents, and nobody is paying me for that.
Reese is much braver this year on the play-place. She climbs up the rock wall by herself and goes down the slide.

Presley drew a picture of Great Grandma J. today at pre-school because she misses her. (She's in Florida.) When she was telling me about it, she said, "Yeah, I miss all my Great Grandma's...can we have a play-date with them soon?" I think we have almost all of the paper-work filled out to sign Presley up for kindergarten next year. Just need to get her shot record. Now we have to decide whose class she will go in. Debating putting her in my class. We talked to our principal today. He said it's our choice, he's fine with our decision. Hmmm. We've talked to lots of people and gotten lots of answers - both good and bad. Not sure what we'll do yet. There are pluses and minuses to weigh.
Addy has been going to story-time with A.Jenny on Thursdays. She loves their time together, especially visiting the donut shop. ;)
Reese gave the curly tube slide an (accidental) try today. I think it will be a little bit before she tries it again. ;)
Daddy got the tractor out today and gave the kids a spin around the block. He also fired up the grill for the first time this season. I think he felt right at home, back in his element.
Addy wasn't ready to come in yet.
The end.

big girl
Not only has Reese moved on up to a big girl bed, we have also slowly started getting her used to the idea of going potty in her potty chair.
She is still a little young, but she's had a few success so far so we figured, why not!
And with those successes come some sweet rewards...hence the chocolate on the mouth and shirt.
And another reason Reese is becoming my big girl....check out her chompers.
She has been working hard on getting 4 new teeth plus her 2 year molars. You can kind of see them in this next picture. The 4 pointy ones have been giving her quite the trouble.
But thankfully they've all popped through and are here to stay! :)
And don't you just love those lopsided pigtails? :)
field trip
Last Wednesday Chad and I took the morning off to go with Presley and her pre-school friends on their kindergarten visit. We had a little time before we had to meet at the school so we let Presley choose where we should eat breakfast. She chose "The Pancake Place."
We then met her friends at the elementary school to check out what kindergarten looks like. This isn't the school that Presley will go to and she knew that. I just went to see what another kindergarten classroom looked like. I was actually talking to the teacher and Presley walked up to the teacher and said, "May I please use the bathroom?" :) It made me happy to hear her use her manners.
It's hard to believe the time is here to actually sign my big girl up for kindergarten next year. I'm not sure if I'm ready for her to start school yet. Daycare - I can handle, Pre-School - that's fine too, but actual Kindergarten - I'm not sure I'm ready for that.... :( I know she is more than ready and will do fine. She had no fears and walked right in leaving us behind. The plan for now is to take Presley with us to the school that Chad and I both teach at. The elementary school district that we live in does not offer full-day kindergarten so it would make it harder to work out the transportation issues. We're not sure if she will stay at our school or eventually transfer in to our home elementary school later on.
