Well....I'm back. I've had a nice blog-cation this past month and a half. I didn't really intend to take said vacation, it was kind of forced on me, but it's been kind of nice. Soon after the new year, I went to publish on my blog and got an error message that my free blogger account had used up all the free storage and I would either need to pay to continue using my blog address or start a new one. At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but soon decided I would rather start a new one than pay. It took several days to try and think up names, addresses, set up new blog, etc. All the names I tried to use were taken it seemed. I finally set up a blog with an address I wanted using my same email, but when I went to post it said it was full again. Hmm. Guess you can't start a new blog using the same email address and expect to have more room. So then I went to delete that blog address so I could re-use that address under Chad's email account, but apparently they save your blog after you delete it for 40 days or so in case you decide to re-open the blog. Problem after problem it seemed. So I have stepped away from the computer and the blog for awhile. I actually enjoyed this time and have felt a bit relieved in some sense. But in any case, I'm ready to start back up again. The new site isn't all done, but it's a start. I didn't realize how much time goes into setting up a blog. I think I forgot. I've gotten a couple posts in and have more to catch up on but thought I should let you know where to go to check up on us. We are good. Busy, but good.
You can now hop on over and visit us at par 5 family or you you can click here. Don't forget to save it in your Google Reader too. Nice seeing you again.

bball
Today Chad decided to take the girls to the gym so they could run around and he could practice a bit with Presley.
She starts basketball in a couple of weeks (Chad is her coach) and she got a new basketball for Christmas she has been dying to try out so she was super excited
1-1-11
We decided to have a low-key New Years this year.
I wanted to stay home, so we decided to invite Chad's parents and sister and her family over. We had salad, shrimp, ordered a pizza and dessert.
We watched football and basketball games, played Wii - Just Dance 2 and then played Apples to Apples. Reese made it until about 10 and the older 2 surprised me by staying up until midnight. I think this may be a first for them.
Gabi was excited to see the ball drop....my 2 didn't know what to think.

Super Secret Mission
Earlier this week we gave the girls baths and surprised them with new pajamas. They were so happy. Princess & the Frog for Reese, Jessie & Bullseye (Toy Story 3) for Addy and Ariel for Presley. We played a few games that they had gotten for Christmas and then instead of telling them it was time to go upstairs to bed we told them to get their boots on.
Presley was confused. And then she got excited. She told Addy that we were going to look at lights. I didn't tell them anything except that we were going on a super secret mission. We popped a new dvd that they had gotten for Christmas in the van on the way.
On our way, I asked Addy if she knew where we were going. She said, "I don't know, maybe Disney World." Wouldn't that have been the ultimate secret mission?
The girls were thrilled when we walked in to Krispy Kreme donuts. They went right over and watched the donut line. We picked out our donuts and then went to find a seat, when we noticed our cousins walk in! : ) How exciting. Surprise, surprise!!!

Birthday Party for Baby Jesus
Christmas night we invite both sides of our family back to a birthday party....baby Jesus' birthday party. It helps the girls remember what this time is all about. This year my mom made homemade bean soup and we had lots of snacks and desserts to fill us up. And of course, birthday cake.
After singing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus all the kiddos blew out the candles (one candle for each kiddo).
B-Family Brunch
Christmas #3 of 3
Christmas morning the girls came downstairs to see that Santa had dropped in again at our house....this time to fill their stockings. They were thrilled with the little things that he left....their own "gum". ; )
Brunch with Chad's family on Christmas morning. Tradition. Chad's parents and his sister and her family always come over to our house on Christmas morning. We first fill up with yummy brunch. Then get to the gifts. We did it a little different this year. We started with the oldest and went to the youngest opening 1 gift at a time. That way we can slow the whole day out and really see what each person got. It was a bit rough for the girls, but they enjoyed helping everyone else open their gifts.
Presley (and all the girls) were thrilled with their LaLa Loopsy dolls that A.Cindy and family got them.
Reese
She must have been really, really good.
Santa (and MawMaw and Pawpaw) brought her a DSi.
She may be the only 2 year old with her own DSi. This was a combination present....Christmas and potty training. That is what she has been asking for and Mawmaw has been using that as motivation in our potty training plan. She is doing soo good and close to being trained completely (during the day at least). So this was her reward.
Lucky girl.

Santa left a Calico Critter house for them yesterday with our own family Christmas and today they got lots of families and furniture to go in the house.

My side Christmas (Christmas Eve)
Christmas #2 of 3
After a quick visit to Chad's parents in the afternoon to meet up with aunts, uncles and cousins it was back to our house to prepare for Christmas with my family. First up - yummy dinner. Then it was time for the reading of the Christmas story....Nana read this year.
Then the girls sang a few carols and the gift giving began. My girls (Reese especially) were all about helping everyone open their gifts. Reese had been telling A.Hildy every time she was over that this gift for her was a sweatshirt....so A.Hildy was surprised to see it was something else.
Great Grandma p. made Reesey a scarf.
She actually made one for all the girls.
Reags opening her LaLa Loopsy doll that my girls got for her.
Reilly
So excited to see she got the LaLa Loopsy doll she wanted.

Presley loved the Ugly Doll from A.Jenny and family.
And Great A.Kathy couldn't go wrong with a Disney princess doll.
